Scout Essentials

  • Scouts BSA Handbook

  • Class B Scout Shirt (To be worn during the campout)

    • If your son doesn’t have one, please contact Lee prior to the campout

  • Class A Scout Shirt (To be worn driving to and from the campout)

    • If your son doesn’t have one, please contact Lee prior to the campout

Winter Essentials

  • Backpack or duffel bag for clothing and personal items

  • Sleeping bag

  • Sleeping pad (Optional)

  • Headlamp or flashlight

  • Pocket knife if you have completed troop knife safety

  • Water bottles (2 liters of water)

  • Toiletry bag

  • Waterproof bag or garbage bag for sleeping bag and backpack or duffle bag

Clothing (The weather is a little unpredictable in April)

  • Winter Coat

  • Pants

  • Hiking boots or shoes

  • T-shirts

  • Extra pants

  • Extra underwear

  • Extra socks

  • Beanie

  • Warm socks

  • Gloves

  • Sweatshirt

  • Long-sleeve shirt

  • Towel

  • Swim suit

  • Shorts

  • T-shirt

Personal Items

  • Sunglasses

  • Whistle

  • Personal First-aid kit

  • Rescue mirror (optional)

  • Extra Blanket for inside sleeping bag

  • Survival blanket (optional)

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste

  • Sunscreen

  • Lip Balm

  • Soap

  • Comb

Daypack (school backpack)

  • Used to carry extra items your son will need throughout the day.  Such as,

  • Water bottle(s)

  • snacks

  • extra clothing

  • Extra socks

  • Flashlight
